About Us

Mo and Clive welcome you to their wonderful home.

Perched above the quay at Bridgend less than 100 paces from the high water mark.
The house is set in terraced gardens, orchard and paddock of around 1 1/2 acres with views across the tidal creek to Newton Ferrers.   We keep a small flock of lawnmowers - Shetland sheep to graze both our and our neighbours' land and a few silkies (hens) that root around.

There are many vantage points (and seats!) including a couple of swing pods from which to gaze across the water and take in the atmosphere of this beautiful, tranquil area.

Owing to the steep nature of some of the grounds Sail Away is not suitable for young children or the less mobile.

Feel free to enjoy our lovely gardens during your stay. However, please be aware that the grounds are steep in places.

There are so many walks around the area along the estuary, further afield along the South West Coast path and Stoke beach is only half an hours walk away via the footpath at the end of our drive. Mothecombe beach is a must to visit with acres of sand to enjoy at low tide.

Ordnance survey map available - please ask.

We can also provide a packed lunch if you wish.
